UPC Austria has said it achieved 400,000 hours of on demand business since the inception of its VOD service in June 2009.
Most popular have been family oriented titles including Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince, Bruno, Monster vs. Aliens and Transformers – the Revenge. Classic best sellers include the first three Harry Potter titles and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
UPC VOD costs €3.98 for new movies, €1.98 for library titles and €5.98 for erotic entertainment. The service was launched on June 8, 2009. UPC Austria serves 541,000 TV homes, 424,000 broadband customers and 273,000 telephony users.
