Jeff Healey (born Norman Jeffrey Healey, March 25, 1966 - March 2, 2008) was a blind Canadian jazz, and blues-rock vocalist and guitarist who attained musical and personal popularity, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s. He also played "Dixieland" sometimes referred to as Hot jazz or New Orleans jazz, a style of jazz which developed in New Orleans at the start of the 20th century, and was spread to Chicago and New York City by New Orleans bands in the 1910s. Dixieland jazz combined brass band marches, French Quadrilles, ragtime and blues with collective, polyphonic improvisation by trumpet (or cornet), trombone, and clarinet over a "rhythm section" of piano, guitar, banjo, drums, and a double bass or tuba.
Jeff also played trumpet on some of his albums too

Jeff Healey - Mess Of Blues
Following a lengthy struggle with cancer, Jeff Healey sadly passed away on Sunday 2nd March, on the eve of the release of his new blues rock album, his first in over 8 years. Arguably one of the most distinctive blues-rock guitar players of our time, the new album is already regarded as a storming return to his blues-rock roots. The album was recorded late last year, with the musicians who regularly accompany the guitarist at Jeff Healey's Roadhouse in Toronto.
