As you all may or may not know I have come across 1800+ NDS games.
First, I want to talk about the NDS games and how they work so you're not in the dark
when you decided to go into this type of gaming.
Most DS game counsels cost $80.00-$200.00 USD. Depending on the Bells & Whistles.
Your standard ds is the cheapest and plays all of the games. No Bells & Whistles !
Then you have a dsLite which costs a little more but has a few bells and whistles.
Now, the DSi is the leader of the 3. It has a lot of cool features. Internet, camera, morphing software
so you can change your pictures to look really cool, like 3D and Face changing. If you have two of these
counsels, you can send each other messages or pictures wirelessly. Very cool !
But, with all this, comes the higher price tag. I own the DSi so my presentation will be about the DSi.
Not to worry though, because all the games that work with the ds, also works with the others. That's the
beauty of this gaming system.
As an experiment, I borrowed my neighbors, ds and dslite and took the cartridge out of my DSi and it worked
on both of them.
On with the Technical part.
This is the R4i Card, it is the one I use and it is also the most expensive. ($15.99USD+Shipping)
Why is it so expensive ? Well, it holds up to 16 GB (Sandisk) Microsd card. That's a lot of games.
If I did the math right, that's close to 400 games you could have on just one card. Personally, the more games you have on a card the longer it takes to boot up your ds so, I keep mine at around 40 games on a 8GB card.
The R4i also AUTOMATICALLY sets up a saved game file for your games. Nice feature if your lazy like me.
(I buy mine in a 5 pack, so I get them cheaper, so this is the pic that I had)
The Firmware for the R4i Card is the easiest Firmware I have ever used. (As long as you download it from the right website) I have put it in here for you to download. Download it now and save it for later use.

After you unrar the files, delete the old one's off your MicroSD card and replace them with these.
Here is a picture of what it will look like once you unrar the file.
The four files are the firmware. You NEED these to play the games.
There is no reason to mess with these 4 files unless you understand HOW TO.
In these files you can change the screen logo, have your picture as the background and so on.
I'll explain how to do that later.
This is what it looks like in your GAMES folder when you create it in your (Sandisk) Microsd card.
You can add as many as the card will hold but, I suggest you leave room for the SAVED GAME file
that will be created when you play the game for the first time. When you want to take a game off, remember to
take the saved game file off as well. (More Room)
Now that you have the games, firmware on your (Sandisk) Microsd card, you can put it in the R4i card.
It only goes in one way and won't fit the wrong way so... don't force it in the Cartridge.
Put it in the Game system of your choice (DS,DSLite,DSi) Power on your system and push the "Star Wars
Lethal Alliance Ubisoft" Button. After that, Click on the icon on the far left (Looks like a couple of Pac-Man Characters).
Wait for your games to load, then scroll down through them till you find one to play. Easy !
Let's talk about the Warnings or No-No's.
1. NEVER NEVER NEVER Update the system firmware on your counsel. Their is no need to do this unless you don't want to play anymore games. The update will make your R4i Card worthless. Updating your systems firmware makes your DS unable to play these games, EVER ! There is no going back. No Fix will ever come out for this.
2. NEVER NEVER NEVER have the R4i card in the counsel while you are online with the DSi. It automatically updates the Firmware and you're out of luck again. No Going Back ! No Fix will ever come out for this.
3. Heat is the main thing that damages this R4i card, so limit your game playing to a few hours at a time. Take the Cartridge out and let it cool. Of course water will ruin it but, heat is the worst !
4. If you ever download from another website, make sure you scan your downloads with a trusted Anti-Virus Program and it is up to date. They're a lot of games out there that have viruses embedded in the game.
I will add more warnings as I find them. But these are the most Important !
I have USA and European Games. They both work on my DSi so they should work on your system as well.
This is the NDS Movie Player and Emulator ! I cannot give instructions on how to use it
since each computer is set up differently. However, I can suggest clicking on the icons
and see if that works, maybe ask questions if you get stuck.
I know this works on Win XP Pro. I am not sure about Vista and Win7.

The Games Range from 8,000kb-131,000kb. 200MB is the maximum upload for Rapidshare
so.... You can request more than one game at a time, I encourage it !
Now the hard part !
Skins and Background Pictures on the screen and menus.
Skin change method
I have received a lot of PM's about changing the Skins, I will give it to you as plainly as possible.
When you have all four files on your microsd card drag all of the skins off your card and replace it
with just one, that will make the DS only open the one Skin. It's too lengthy to get into trying
to describe how to change them in the Counsel.
The skins are located in the R4iMenu, double click Skins, save the ones that are in there to desktop
or wherever. open them up individually and see which picture you want on your DS.
Once you practice this, you'll become very good at it and you will be amazed at how easy it really is.
Please don't Over-Think this, it is really easy.
