Windows XP MCE Virtual Machine Image | 1.77 GB
This is a VMware image of Windows XP MCE created on VM Workstation 7. It will not work on previous versions.

MCE has come in very handy on my Win7 system, as I have Gen1 Extenders. Rather than have to buy all new extenders, I just run MCE in a VM and they connect beautifully. On a bridged network, you can grab the files from any machine where you've shared media folders. Excellent hardware compatibility, too.

I found it very useful, so figured I'd make it available to anyone else who might also want it. The hard work is taken out. Just Extract the folder, click 'Open' in VMware, and choose the VMX file from the extracted folder. because this was created right after the install, it may take around 5-min. to complete the initial setup
