This is a two-disc, 39-track anthology of hits by jazzy soft-rock icons Chicago.
For years, if you wanted a comprehensive Chicago hits collection, your choices were slim. 1975's single-disc/eleven-track collection, Greatest Hits (Chicago IX) remained your best bet, but it only included tracks from the group's beginning to the mid-'70s (without question their best years). On the other hand, if it was Chicago's power ballad direction of the '80s you were after, your only choice was 1989's Greatest Hits: 1982-1989. The very first collection to finally combine both eras together turned out to be the long overdue 2002 double disc from Rhino, The Very Best Of: Only the Beginning. So why another double-disc set comprised of the same exact material appeared only a year later, Chicago Story: The Complete Greatest Hits 1967-2002, is quite baffling. Of course, there's no denying the greatness of such selections as "Saturday in the Park," a 'new edit' of "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?," "Beginnings" -- but unfortunately, the aforementioned 'lighter' later direction hasn't aged well at all (especially such fluff as "You're the Inspiration"). If you don't already own Only the Beginning, then the similar Complete Greatest Hits is recommended. ~ Greg Prato

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009) was anAmericanrecording artist, entertainer and businessman. The seventhchild of theJackson family, he made his d?but to the professionalmusic scene at theage of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1969, andbegan a solo careerin 1971 while still a member of the group. Referredto as the "King ofPop" in subsequent years, his 1982 album Thriller isthe world'sbest-selling record of all time and four other solo studioalbums arealso among the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall(1979), Bad(1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995).

In theearly 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and thefirstAfrican-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover followingonMTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as"BeatIt", "Billie Jean" and Thriller widely credited with transformingthemusic video from a promotional tool into an art form helped bringtherelatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White"and"Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s.Withstage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a numberofphysically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot andthemoonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influencedmanyhip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists. While Jackson wasamember of Generation Jones, he had an impact on multiple generations.

Jacksondonated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causesthroughhis foundation, charity singles and support of 39 charities.Otheraspects of his personal life, including his changing appearanceandbehavior, generated significant controversy, damaging his publicimage.Though he was accused of child sexual abuse in 1993, thecriminalinvestigation was closed due to lack of evidence and Jacksonwas notcharged. The singer had experienced health concerns since theearly1990s and conflicting reports regarding the state of his financessincethe late 1990s. Jackson married twice and fathered three children,allof which caused further controversy. In 2005, Jackson was triedandacquitted of further sexual abuse allegations and several othercharges.

Oneof the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll HallofFame twice, his other achievements include multiple GuinnessWorldRecords including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of AllTime"13Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career morethan anyother male artist in the Hot 100 era and the sale of 750millionrecords worldwide. Jackson's highly publicized personal life,coupledwith his successful career, made him a part of popular cultureforalmost four decades. As if they finally realized that they couldn't quite compete withcontemporary musical fashions any more, the Bee Gees moved firmly into"mature" territory with Still Waters. However, they are canny enough torealize that they shouldn't abandon the frothy disco that made themsuperstars in the late '70s - they should merely temper it withmeasured rhythms and tasteful melodies. Consequently, nothing on StillWaters is infectious, but it is pleasant, and while only a handful ofsingles stand out - "I Could Not Love You More" is a sweet ballad - itis still a fine, professional effort from these consummateprofessionals.

Iron Maiden- Live in Split, Croatia 2008. [BOOTLEG]

Iron Maiden held a spectacular concert at the Poljud stadium before 20,000 fans.
The legendary British heavy metal band visited Split as part of Somewhere Back In Time tour which remind us of the greatest successes of the first part of the thirty-year career.They played through about an hour and 45 minutes of the most famous songs from the first seven albums and the inevitable Fear of the Dark, the only song from the nineties.
Stage design was in the style of ancient Egypt, as well as the World Slavery tour from mid-80s of last century, while the superb lightshow and sound, fiery pillars and two large screens complete picture of music as a spectacle rarely seen in Croatia.
Dickinson said this is the largest ever Maiden concert in Croatia.

Tom is terrific throughout This is Tom Jones, a collection culled from the Welsh singer's late '60s-early '70s ABC television series. Subtitled Rock 'n' Roll Legends, this three-disc set spotlights eight separate episodes (one of which, featuring a performance of "Pinball Wizard" by the Who, is a black & white kinescope). None is complete; judicious (and sometimes not) editing limits the focus to the musical and comedic portions, and that's by and large a good thing. Jones, who was just 28 when the first show aired in February, 1969, displays remarkable versatility, taking on everything from Broadway ("Somewhere," with Leslie Uggams) and torch standards ("Angel Eyes") to stone R&B (Bobby "Blue" Bland's "Turn on Your Lovelight"), soul ("In the Midnight Hour"), pop ("What's New, Pussycat?" and, of course, "It's Not Unusual"), and rock ("Lodi," "Lucille") and doing a credible job on all of it, notwithstanding a patina of Vegas glitz. But the high points come from his partnerships with the titular legends, especially Janis Joplin (their duet on Eddie Floyd's "Raise Your Hand" rocks) and Aretha Franklin (then at the peak of her powers, Aretha is fine on "I Say a Little Prayer," but her volcanic pairing with Jones on "See Saw" and her own, gospel-tinged "Spirit in the Dark" is the undoubted high point of the entire DVD set). Jones also duets with Joe Cocker ("Delta Lady"), Little Richard (a medley of his classics), Stevie Wonder (then on the verge of his '70s creative explosion), and Burt Bacharach; and while appearances by comedians like Peter Sellers, a then-unknown Richard Pryor, Pat Paulsen, the Committee (with Howard Hesseman), and the Ace Trucking Company (with Fred Willard) deliver a few chuckles, in the end, this one's all about the music. Jones introduces each episode with a brief reminiscence; a 2007 interview with the singer is among the scant other bonus material
